Crazy night, tuna/avocato samwich... hamock lay, then bed. In bed by 830... pleasant sleep under mosquito net.
Someone started sawing our roof at about 7:17am so i decided to get up and go for a run on the beach. Lost of scary dead eels have been washed up over night but it was a lovely run along the crashing water listening to carleys not chill music.
We ate some eggs and 3 cups of coffee for breakfast and then bobbed around in the waves all morning met two guys who didnt speak english and had some really great conversations. Im obsessed with the ocean and could swim all day. My belly is peeling really unattractively and i feel that i may have a cavity. haahh yay

Manncoooorraaa
Sand Boarding was awesome.. like snowboarding but on samd dunes.. I had alot more fun laying on my belly and picking up emense spead on the way down.. and riding aroind in the hardcome sand dune vehicles was painfully fun! The last few days in Haucacachahchina we pretty rediculouse we were invited to go to a wine tour.. Ica s big into wineries so it was a casual thing to do.. but the waiter at a restaurant invited us..he was part of the hostle aswelll.. but it turned into a really strange nigth, expecting a tour group type of thing it turned out to be just sarah me, this guy and his friend.. who was introduced to us as MUTE.. how do you become friend with someone who cant speak i wonder.. then about 10 minutes later he just starts talking .. probably one of the wierdest guys ive ever met... he did a lot of indian calls saying thats how he talks to his Inka family.. we went to to winderies tried wine and pisco.. saw a 7 headed palm tree that grew in and out of the ground.. went to some historic tight where aparently there was a girl so beautiful that people killed her on the full moon.. i looked up ad it was a full moon.. ish... and yes i incerted typicle joke there. We also went into this teeepee thing that was filled with energy and dripped water when we entered.. spooky.
The next night we got invited to a birthday party of some guy we recognized from his staring around the hostle.. we ended up sitting on a sand hill just sarah me the guy and his brother.. they didnt speak english and we drank baileys... happy birthday..
Then we went to the DISCOTECHA.. lame.
Then a 22 hour bus ride over night. I spilled the majority of my vegitarian meal all over myself while soaking up nibblits of factual information the the Cruz del Sole educational videos... Terrible sleep on the bus.. the waiter guy cared just a little too much about things... like why i wasnt a sleep like sarah at 930.. without a chouce i turned off my light and ipoded to avoid further conversation.. he woke us up at 630 for breakfast.. yay.. Eeeemmaaa saaarrraa.. i really dont like how my name sounds in the peruvian accent ..it just kind of creeps me out now.
Finally we arived here in Mancora today... beautiful beach on the ocean big waves and the cutest hostle bugalowww with hamocks on palm trees. The owner is a lady so that is really really uncreapy and great! I cant believe how much longer we are here for.. Probably surfing tomorrow .. just bobbed around in the waves today.. i acctually surfed a few with my body quite impressively! I cant beleive there is snow on the island .. I dont even want to think about that really.
This was writted really impressively i know.. Ive been reading so much lately that i think like a book is written and my dreams last night were "she said" "he exclaimed" holy.
Its way to hot in here.
We just ate lunch and sarah odered "fish" ..so broud.. turns out it was the chemically cooked with lemon juice.. traveling with the pickiest eater in the world had its pirks.. i get double the veggies and half of her meals.. Yay. I had prawns and then ate a piece of pepper and it burnt a hole in my toungue.

Oasis in the sand
As per usual my valentines day was extremely romantic, 15 hour jrky, swervy double decker bus ride with sarah barber. A 3 layered white bread and ham, half sandwhich, peach cup-o-jello, some snotty meat on nuitrition-free rice and a couple glasses of Inka cola. Peruvian men occupiing the seats surounding us, pearing through cracks. A hillary duff movie about finding her mother the right man and "the boys are" (in town) a movie that made me want to cry the whole way through but i didnt have time to blink god forbid i missed any of the subtitles, all would be lost. 125 pages of "One Day" a love story aboyt Dexter and Emma , Later failure to catch some shut eye, thrown around in my seat and the constant smell of nurse we finally made it to a place called Ica at 4 am. I had acctually expected to be held at gun point after reading in lonely plannet about this bus station but thankfully it was a smooth ride to Huacachina.
Huacachina, Holy balls.
This place is magic.
Our hostle- carola de sur lodge, an enclosed area with a pool blairing music all day, hamocks hanging benieth lushess green trees and 2 turdles minding their own bussiness and freely wondering. This town is probably a half kilimeter squared filled with palm trees and hydrated greenery, city center hold a merky lagoon, sparkleing oasis reflecting sun rays, free to paddle boat around in. Surrounding the entire town are masive sand dumes just complete desert every which way minus this green little village. Sand boarding tomrorw.
Already 3 shades darker/reder the sun beats hard rise to set and the nights are nark and warm. Music starts playing at 10 am, my only reminder of acctually time. I woke up this morning wanting banana pancakes and wondering where all the good people went. 3 cups of tea for breakfast and off to watch 17 chubby little boys bobbing around in their goggles as i scortch by the pool, waiting the appropriate 15 minutes prior entering the sun and swim post sunscreen aplication.
Im am sweating perfusely in this little room so im going to leave and go find some water.
Peace out a town.. dun dun dun dun

F U Feddel Castro
Feddel Castro: You don´t know what you´re gettin´, but you´re payin´for it.
Our trip to Machu Piccu was quite the time.
What we singed up for:
Tuesday, leave Cuzco 130, Private car to Ollantaytambo, 4pm catch Inka Rail to the bottom of Machu Piccu. That night we were to stay in the Golden House Hostle
The next morning (wednesday) we were told we were waking up at 4:45 to catch the bus up the mountain just in time to watch the sunrise. Spend 2 hours there guided tour and then have 7 hours free time, walk down and enjoy the hot springs.
The whole trip was ´organized by FEDDEL CASTRO, all set up so we would just smoothly get to Machu Piccu.
(while booking the trip we were shown the brocher for INKA RAIL, beautiful big glass windows, big chairs, free gormet meals, free wine..) Peru Rail was the shittier train that didnt include anything but he assured us that we were getting the nice one for such a good deal.
.............
What really went down:
Tuesday: Wake up, shower, pack way to much stuff, ready early, eat some pasta, then wait outside the agency for an hour after buying cookies for the ride..... Sarah and I waited for Varity and Emma and then when they came we went to see when we were leaving. Feddel sits us down and informs us that "the front of the train has broken" but he deosnt know how to explain it in english...so we are kind of just confused and dissapointed and he wants to make it up to us by giving us a free hour back ride or something we asked for the more expencive trips instead but he would go for it. None of us want to go hourse back riding again tho so varity just casual offers that he could just buy us drinks or dinner or something. And there we are following 3 men from the agency to the wierd little ´locals´bar that smells like butt and has sheep coats on every bench, a painting of Machu Piccu on the wall and Opps i did it again playing on repeat. They bring out a bunch of peruvian beer and we tell them we dont want that, so we settle on Orange Juice and Vodka. It was about 3pm at this point and the bottles kept coming. It was the most rediculous day. Nuttella, Paintings, Tatoo Parrlers, Copps, Nauchos.....
Wednesday:Feelin´like ass... Back at the agencey ready to go once again... We get a Cab to this wierd little private car yard. Get into our private car, Here you have to SHOTTY NOT GUN and i lost so i got the front. Feddel lets us know we just have to wait 4 minutes for our tickets and then we will be off. 10 minutes go buy and no tickets he insures us that the driver is his uncle and that he will call him with the ticket numbers asap. Without time for question he shooooos us off with UNCLE CASTRO...he staired at my legs while we sped down the windy roads.. just a creepy creepy man, we listend to a mixed tape of insperational peruvian music the whole way. Uncle castros phone rang about 15 times each time he would answer and say ELLO? ELLO? and the service would cut out... still no ticket numbers. We then get to Ollantaytambo and he tells us we have to find our own ticket number by finding a phone and calling Feddel.. I sat by the river as varity attemted spanish arguments and such and then finallythe plan was to wait an hour and a half in this town and then find a TALL MAN NAMED LUI. Just somewhere here we were supposed to pick out a tall man..Meanwhile we set up camp in a little restaurant beside the train station and order the most discusing chocolate milkshakes ive ever had. They tasted like river. We played cards. Emma and Varity see a tall man and go up to him asking if his name is Lui, councidently it is! Not the right one tho.. Turns our Lui is acctually a really SHORT WOMAN NAMED LOUISE.... She has our train tickets...Booked on the shitty train Peru Rail(turns out INKA RAIL was never broken and we still dont know why he lied about that) and for the next day at 9... meaning we wont be making it there that night to stay in the Golden house we have payed for... so now we have to find a different hostel in this weird little town.. Louise trys to help us out, bringing us to a room in a hotel with no electricity just 3 beds and a candle. .. we leave and go find our own.. then go for dinner and the blue puppy.... in bed early ready to leave in the morning.
Thursday: 8 am wake up, Brownies for breakfast and then train meant to depart 3 hours before us has not left yet... we wait around for a while refusing to buy water bottle holders, corn and hiking sticks from locals.. The train was acctauly pretty sweet i got some peach jouce and jammed to the music, beauty views of the riverand mountains. We arive, told prior that we would be meeting a guide when we got off.. we see a lady with a sign that says¨"Aurella Manoli, Emma Laide, Emma Shecd" we´ll roll with it.. We payed the student price for Machu Piccu and none of us had valed student cards so we had pay an extra 70 soles each.. after a bunch of phone calls and confussion we were finally on the Bus ready to head up the mountain. Cool kids at the back of the bus, I sat bu the window. The driver SPEDD around swistey roads alond the clifs looking down out the winder i was just kind of waiting for us to tip off the side.
When we finally got up there it was all worth the hassle, acctually breath taking, a combination of the lack of oxygen and the sights. There were Lammas roaming around and the lost city of inkas was amazing all the rock buildings and mountains..saw soem rabits and flowers. The clouds would move up and down at osme points blocking our view of everyting but still magic.
We only got to spend about 2 hours there when promised 9.. at that point, after using the washroom where they also sold jewlery, we started our decent... about a 2 hour walk down on uneaven stairs i turned it into about an hour because i put in my ipod and just gave er.. my legs were trmbleing bad when i got to the bottom the whole walk was through jungle sceanery, rain and sweat soaked us all. At the bottom we were starved and we get atacked by 8 different restairant hoastes shoving their menus in our faces, so overwelming so we pick this little shit place that didnt really advertise that hard.....should have taken that as a sign. We all orded just terrible meals i went with a little pizza thinking it would be hard to go wrong with but no they first burned the ntire thing and then had to start again.. varity and emma sent back their meanls but i was litterly too hungry to stop as much as i hated it. so i payed for the over priced undersized nasty pizza. Unsatisfied we left to find a fax machine in another restaurant where we had to pay a sole to get our trian tickest back sent to us.. we were told to meat at 6 to get the tickets and by the time we got them we were already supossed to be boarded on the train.. we then got there got on..Weirdest train ride......Me sarah varity and emma were the only non asians without big zoom lense cameras taking pictures of the train man pooring us our complimentary drinks.. minding my own bussiness listening to some good old macklemore all of a sudden my music is over powered with the blairing traditional peruivian dance music and out runs the creepyest mask headed guy in a colourful outfit running around with a cane with a hook..... i watched "the town" on the flight to peru and it really kind of worried me that he was just going to kill us all.. he danced around for a while more and stuck his face right in sarahs.. then that was over so i thought i could go back to my pod.. but no now we got to watch the staff put on a fasion show...a gay man with his sweaters and a shy woman with her ponchoes for about 45 minutes.. then finally the train was over and our next goal was to find a bus back to cuzco........ we got off the train adn there was a lady with a sign that said Emma something and Sarah something and Clair ... so again we just went with it.. wasnt for us. We were told we had to wait an hour and then go find a bus.. thats all the information we got. so i got some lemondae and waited then went back to where the lady vaugly pointed to find a bus..we merged our self into a big tour group and wondered onto some random bus that apparently was going to cuzco....... there were 4 extra people on the bus..(could it be us for who snuck on..) I just kept my eyes focussed out the window avoiding being kicked off... the bus started rolling and we were good to go..dont know what happend to those 4 extras but i didnt really care. I was the only person awak for the bus ride and i had a jolly time looking at the dark and bumpin beats.
We arvied home at 1230 and passed right out.
The next day we went to Feddel and almost made him cry trying to weeez as much money out of him as we could for all of his eff ups
GOOD TIMES ALL ROUND
oh yeah and i saw a monkey and it was tied to a string and i wanted to cry it was like pippis monkey.. poor guy

Frogs and red hands
I always think im the happiest ever.. and every hour or so i prove myself wrong by entering a new level of happy. Haha. The other night I went out with my new friends Emma Oli and Varity.. we planned to just got for dinner at pattys pub and this casual 5pm start dinner turned into a 5 hour stay. We played cards drank some white russians, black russians... and others.. and just had some awesome times. I got a double stacked cheese burger and couldnt eat it all. We stayed till happy hour and then headed on to our new destination.. I hadnt showered in 2 days and hadnt taken my hair out of the same bun since. Im pretty. Next we went to a Lounge bar thing called The Frogs.. inside is insperation for the house i will one day own.. There are justy a bunch of bean bags and funky couches to chill on and a ragge band was playing super loud.. we drank Pisco sours because they were happy hour.. and then the girl in the band started singing while before it was just the guy.. we had to get up and leave because she was so terrible.. i probably wouldd have been more pleasant to listen to.. thats saying alot. Next we made our way to the reggae bar..but first i had to stop and buy a bunch of lolipops.. reggae bar was awesome so many dreds and funny people. a band playing some bob marley and we sat on the ground around a table and chatted to some randoms and jammed out to the beatssss.. Then this guy came down to me and handed me a piece of paper "I think this belongs to you" he said and I said Thanks in my awkard weirdo voice.. then i openned it up and it read "Your Glasses are misterious" hhahahahhaha so good. Then he came back and striked up a chat and i made Oli trade places with me because i really didnt want to deal. Meanwhile Varity pertended she was from Canada and chatted with him. We got board there and then left to some random shitty dance bar with no one in it .. then left and walked down a streeet... 3 little boys started following us...using their typical lines and acts that their parents teach themm they give you hugs trying to be all cute and then ask you where you are from .. after answring that question a million times you just start lying about everything.. we were from africa.. they wouldnt leave us alone for so long.. so we decided to dip into this weird little locals bar.. on the way in Varity was in front of me and i saw the little boys hands go into here purse.. so i shoved him into the walll and we walked into the bar. This bar was acctually epic.. there was a man asleep on a chair right infront of the big wooden door.. so we stepped over and and made our way to the back of the room . it was quite small.. a bunch of orange pleather couches and the most rediculous peruvian soap opera on about some lady getting raped with her ginger wig and then she killed the man. i couldnt hear it nor would i have been able to understand but the acting was so bad it was really funny. It was happy hour 2 for one.. so Oli and I ordered these delightful gin lemon sugar drinks and emma and varity ordered nasty pisco cocoa.. there was really no one else ordering anything but our drinks took about 45 minutes.. looking up at the bar an old man was just gingerly pooring our glasses and slowing moving around.. then finnally this old old lady waddled out and SLOWLY put out drinks one by one on the table gently extending her arm ahahha. CUzco time goes in slow motion. There is one Mcdons here and they dont understand the whole idea of fast foood so they just kinda stand around.. its also really expensive.. its about the same as at home but compared to everything else here is rediculous.....anyway, we left that bar and had to step over the sleeping man again after the orange couch bar we headed to some packed dancing bar and danced hard till about 5am.. then headed back..we took a cab and the song I FEEL GOOD james brown came on for our last few minutes and we blasted it beautifully. THen we got back to our flat (we all live on the same floor) We turned on some music slightly stoopid and such cause i wanted to show them who they were.. we hung out and then decided we wanted some food.. so emma goes and googles Oli´s bread resipe and varity starts making bread dough.. at 530am... she made themn into doughnut shapes and we fried them in a sause pan with burnt butter and oil and then poored sugar all over them... i kept mentioning that they tasted like fish and emma kept saying that it looked exactly like chickenn turns out no one washed the pan after cooking tuna the day before... mmmmm. Went to bed at 6 .. right as i layed my head on my uncomfortable pillow the sky started getting light and the roosters started singing..
beauty night.
The next morning i bought the best sweater you have ever seen.. and you havent even seen it yet. Ate some eggs on toast and cleaned out nastey rooom. That was last night then we all went to the second floor to eat dinner that Jada and Anna cooked for us .. african foood so amazing.... then my roomies and i chilled on our dirty floor.. so funny emma keeps breaking glass bottles and they just sat there for a few days.. we have the ugliest art out of everyone and our couches suck the most and our table only fits 4 and one of the chairs is broken because we didnt see Oli all day so i legit thought he was dead in his room so Emma stood on the chair to look over his door and it cracked right though....he wasnt dead.
Today I went to the Juvey in the moring and painted a really really bad painting on the wall with the boys.... super fun tho. A boy named Elvis put a red paint hand print on my jeans.. the ones that i accidently poored green paint all over in halifax under the train tracks.. they look pretty bad ass.... when english people say bad ass its so funny. I have started talking like an english person alot of the time.. i get made fun of me for random canadian things that i didnt even know were weird... they think its funny that i call lolipops suckers.. that i call touques touques... and the other night i had to explain what bulk food was... Its pooring rain right now and im listenning to I LOVE ROCK&ROLL in this computer room as the thunder pounds its prettty awesome. We booked our trip to Maccupìchu for tomorrow ..me sarah varity and emma.. we leave at 130pm get a car to some spot then get on this beauty train and then stay in a hotle and then wake up at 445 the next moring and bus up the mountain to catch the sunrise.. then we spend all day there and walk down stopping to hang out in the hotsprings! beauty night.
I am soooo excited!!!!

Rivers and such
I love rugby so much its my favourite to watch, I just went for lunch at Paddys Bub and watched a soccer and a rugby game while eating a delightful pizza with caramelized onions on it.
I started getting up really early a few mornings ago 630am or so just to chill and read and stuff. We went back to the Juvey the other day and didnt do anything because they changed the rules or something so we left and bought big buckets of paint so we can go back on monday to paint a wall all pretty. It was really hot out that day and I played some rugby pass, the ball went over a really high fense into the court and i had to using my intense climbing skills to get it..then layed around the park bronzinggg. That nights sarah and I got some lolipops and chilled in the plazza on a bench... from about 50 metres away i pointed out htis really large happy family of about 20. Then before we knew it they were all standing right in fron of us asking to get a photo.. and one by one the uncle, the father, the grandpa the teenage son and the little son sat in between sarah and i as 5 cameras took our photo.. they cracked jokes in spanish and i was laughing so hard at how rediculous it was.
Sarah and I embarassingly decorated our room wall with the most rediculous words from a cosmo ... and our room is just retardedly messy.. people are just amazed when they come in.. We are known as "the canadians" and everyone thinks we are twins (i dont think we look anything alike) they also find us really really weird but im used to that, and they are accepting it.
Yesterday was really awesomeee! Woke up early and headed out on a bus to the basecamp for river rafter with a a few of my friends from here and anothr group of boys from chille. River rafting was absolutly awesome i loved it so much and the group of people was really fun.. beautiful mountains all around us and some little farm houses, and mad by the side watching his blothes in the muddy water.. a donkey with a boner and some starving cows. I was in the front getting the full extent of all the rapis in my face it was epic. we rafted for about 2 hours but the trip took the whole day buss out there was about and hour and a half and after the raft we went back to the basecamp ate lunch, roasted in the sauna and had a hot shower... there were 4 huge Lolas soo cute the camp was so cool all made of stone and wood bu really tiki like.. the bus ride back took about 3 hours because first..one of the possible new presadents was campaigning in some little town causing all the trafic to back up ...so we waited for about 40 minutes ..10 minutes later we got pulled over and they took the bus driver somewhere.... then we got going again and cuzco was just all travic jams so slow and steady we meade it back.. im so tired right now so i feel like im boring you.. Last night was fun we played some drinking games upstairs and then went to the same bar we went to last weekend as well as like 5 others.. but I got my FRIENDS bracelet back from the bartender.. he was still wearing it ahahah he kept making me freee drinks so that was sweet. I also ended up sith a new scarf.. woke up pretty buzzed this morning and started reading some peacful warior .. then broke a chunk off the side of the cab on the way to the bub.. I havent been on the internet so about 3 days and i love it i havent even been on facebook yet i htought i would just go straigh to wriiing this faceboook really stresses me out here because it brings me bakc to my really tough life in cnanada.. ahah and such pointless crap. Si
The other night I went out for a really fancy dinner to say farewell to one of the volunteers that I had only met the day before, we went to a reastaurant called the fallen angle. The most interesting restaurant i have ever seen. Crazy animal print couches, heart shaped couches... art everywhere, angles hanging from the ceiling... our table was a claw foot bath tup filled with water rocks and fish! with glass over top. I ordered a strawberry dac and ALPACCA. I just had to do it..apparently it has no colesteral! haha It was acctually delicious i loved it and didnt even feel bad about eating my pets.. it looks just like steak!
This morning I went to a Juvey, all teenage boys. I helped teach them english and I was kind of paired with two boys. One named Denis who was 19 and pretty good at english he was pretty cool and really liked saying my name and was interested in every aspect of my life. THe other was name Pacco. Pacco really just didnt understand english. He kind of reminded me of my self. The work sheet they were doing had simple things like.. matching sentances.. Who is that woman? She is my sister. .. Is your car blue? No it is black... To me it was so simple but it reminded me of what we used to do in french and i just didnt get it at all because i didnt know enough of the vocab or grammer.. SO i helped him out but he still just sat there and looked at me. Then he looked at my rists full of bracelets i have bought here. He traded me a string one for his silver charm bracelets lacking charms...I like my new one way better and how cool is that, that i got a bracelet from a boy in a peruvian juvey. After we finished the work sheets we read a little book about osme guy finding a man on the street.. the storry didnt really make any sense.. The teacher is a girl from holand teaching spanish kids english.. haha
Later we made drug awaerness posters the best one is being chosen to get blown up and posted on the wall. I was handed a little bag of liquid with christmas art all over it... I openned it up like the boys and drank it. It was chocolate soy milk...my fav..so random. I really loved being there. When we left Denis yelled out to me EMMA!!! and i looked back to him.. SEE YOU TOMORROW he said. Hahaha
For the rest of the day I hung out with the orphans.. i have become pretty great buddies with all of them and dont want to think about saying good bye. I ate lunch with them today and it seemed to last hours. Then we had a birthday party for this old lady.. Best birthday party ive ever been too! Pinyata, Cake, Soda, Dancing; black eyed peas... super fun! Its pretty cold out today i heard some thunder earlier.. yesterday it Pooooored rain but was really hot in the morning. The weather here changes in the blink of an eye! 4 new volunteers arived today so there are about 15 now! 3 of them are named Emma.. and 10 of them are from the UK 2 form peru one form korrea and then sarah and I. Who let the dogs out is playing right now in the cafe. Im going to go fetch some dinner nowwww!
